As the summer comes to an end and the autumn begins I am left with mixed emotions. It has been good as I have attended two Stag weekends and two weddings. It has also brought about some unexpected change as I have been forced to move to a new house again. In the past the down sides would have taken over much of my waking day. This time however it has been a small part of it. It appears that I am managing my mental illnesses in a much better way now. I know that there is a chance that this will be a life-long battle with ups and downs. In general, I am in a much better place then I was this time last year. I have a job which I didn’t have last August. It is a job that I actually want to be doing, not just something to get me off Universal Credit.
. One of my favourite quotes comes from Thomas Edison, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work”
Whatever challenges you are going through in your life, if you keep an open and positive mind, eventually you will get to where you need to be. It might be a long journey as mine has been, however by setting small achievable goals and surrounding yourself with true friends you will find success, whatever success means to you
