I like to have one workout a week which is completely different to my regular programme. On Friday I performed military press using a 20kg axal bar with two 10kg chains and a further 10kg of added weight, instead of the clean and jerk. The total weight lifted was 50kg, which doesn’t sound like much, however the chains swing which means I have to use my core a lot more. The axal bar is also thicker then a regular barbell which challenges my grip strength more.
